ABOUT FLAKE

We are a micro-bakery operating out of the Just Be Cause center in Ithaca’s West End. You can get our croissants by:

  • Pre-ordering online for pick-up on Saturdays from 10 am - 2 pm at the Just Be Cause center. Learn more about pre-order.

  • Joining our monthly subscription, Butter Club, with pick-ups of 4 chef’s choice croissants per week from Woodpepper Bread during business hours, 9:30 am - 4 pm. Learn more about Butter Club.

  • We drop off a limited amount of butter croissants and chocolatine on Saturday mornings at Woodpepper Bread.

Our viennoiserie is crafted with a focus on flavor and texture. To that end, we use the highest quality local and regional ingredients, including Farmer Ground Flour, Kriemhild Dairy Butter, and the best seasonal produce from the area’s many incredible farms.

We love to highlight ingredients from local farms, such as:

About us

Flake is operated by Max Hull, a James Beard Award-nominated chef who grew up in Ithaca and always dreamed of returning to open something of his own to share with the community and work with the world-class produce the region has to offer. His wife, Claudia, is a designer and photographer and helps to breathe life and personality into the customer-facing side of the bakery.
